I am considering going with 3 bowlers for the next match and making my batting line-up longer to go for the draw.
Problem is I don't know if I trust Ajmal not just to be a waste of a position as a spinner. I could use Hinds and Pathan and bring in an actual opener. It is desperation tactics but I cannot see me having a chance of beating them.
Actually I thought I was playing BLERTA this round, but I was reading round 6 instead of 5. Reckon I have a definite chance against the Aftershocks.

I expect Pathan to average 40 and Pothas 35-40. On the other hand I expected Rudolph and Mathews to be scoring more than they have been.
Should be a good one, you better hope your bowlers are on form cause my players hit form last round :ninja:

The last match helped the batsmen find some form and there were even positives to take out of it from a bowling point of view. Vaas took 7 @ 20.85 and Zaheer managed to pick up 6 for the match. I am fully confident that we would have won that game had Kaneria been playing. Pothas has definitely been an un-noticed star for the Claymores.
Sridharan Sriram has been traded for Dheeraj Jadhav. The move was made due to the number of middle order batsman the squad possesses and it was felt a back up opener who complete the squad better than having to use a middle order batsman to open as back up. The addition of Jadhav to the squad will keep Rudolph and Lumb on their toes. The latter impressed in the last game and seems to have reacted well to being dropped previously and if Rudolph does not turn things round next match he may well find himself warming the bench. Things starting to look more positive for the Claymores now. The middle order is looking really good, some more centuries would be good though and my main 3 bowlers Vaas, Kaneria and lately Zaheer are going well. Really where the success of my team is coming from. Still have concerns about my opening partnership and 3rd seamer. Adams' stats have been heavily inflated by his double ton, with over 50% of his runs coming in that one innings. Rudolph has continued to be poor, although out of the 2 I am more confident about him coming good. Seeing as we won last round I am prepared to give them another go and see how they go. If Rudolph does nothing again and/or Adams looks like the Shocks game was just a fluke again, Jadhav will need to get his whites washed.
First two picks for the Claymores have been made. Two bowlers that can hopefully spearhead the bowling attack and ensure 20 wickets can be taken with regularity. Peter Siddle, the workhorse (but won't eat horse) Australian seamer, and Rangana Herath, the Sri Lankan left arm spinner who is used to carrying a lot of weight on his little shoulders for his Test nation. 1. I wouldn't actually say he does. He could perhaps be described as stocky, but he certainly isn't Powar or Fatel.
Claymores are happy with their latest 5 additions. Simon Katich and Neil McKenzie have added some quality and experience to the top of the order, with McKenzie having the potential to drop down the order. Jesse Ryder adds power to the middle order and Moeen Ali adds another quality batsman to line-up, with the ability to bat in range of position. The two players are likely to act as the 5th and 6th bowling options, Ali's spin bowling has come on in the past few years allowing him to be a competent 2nd spinner and Ryder provides some useful seam up bowling. The final addition to the squad has been the South African seamer bowler Rory Kleinveldt. He will provide another top seam bowling option, as well as providing some more useful lower order batting. 3.
