Getting Roos would be great - not just for what he offers and would bring to the club, but for the confidence and morale boost that it would inevitably give to our players and supporters.
Very true. Even if he's a 5% better coach then the next applicant, fans and players will get around the club because it's Paul Roos. This makes Brisbane look really, really dumb now.
James Magner de-listed. Has been treated so badly by Melbourne. Genuinely deserves another go at AFL level.
Hopefully Magner gets another chance at a different club, would like to see him do well after the efforts he has put in for us. To be honest though I think everyone is being a bit kind on him, playing 2 matches in the AFL's worst midfield over a whole season isn't exactly endearing. It's not like Neeld/Craig would have just turned a blind eye to him if he was dominating at training/Casey, so to judge him based off his average disposals from 2 games is stretching a very limited sample size. I'm actually probably a little more disappointed about Rory Taggert who seemed to have a reasonable season in the VFL when he wasn't out with injury. Thought he might have been able to break into the seniors as a regular, but I mean it's hard to say from the outside. At the end of the day as a supporter all you can really do is put your trust into the coach. Not exactly my place to comment on the delistings, who knows what sort of attitude/personal issues players might be dealing with at the club.
Looks like Gawn ACL. Possibly the player (along with Hogan/Tyson/Viney) with the most upside on the list and he's done it a third time. Can't catch a break.
No ACL, he's damaged his meniscus (?). Needs surgery, I don't know the severity of it though and whether or not he'll be fit and firing by the time pre-season starts.
