A bit pricey but am certainly not complaining. He's exactly the kind of player who might turn things around in terms of giving us confidence, filling a niche missing in our squad in terms of pace and directness, and bring a fear factor back.

We still need another midfielder and defender though

 

It still contained at least 6 players capped at international level. No excuses for that performance. The back 3 especiallly looked clueless. Yes it doesnt help when you have players like Vermijl playing cb when hes a rb but the first goal was a gift by Jonny Evans whos bags of experience.

Scoreline aside I notmally wouldnt give 2 shits about the c1 cup as its a prank comp compared to the cl. But without europe this was a real chance to give players needing game time a run and maybe win a trophy and we flopped massively. Disappointed

 

I wonder if that was a backlash of LvGs man management style.... How many of those players have been told theyre surplus to requirements and can leave I wonder?

 

Well alot of those players shoudnt be anywhere near the squad. 9 injuries forced the hand somewhat. The blokes who have no excuse are the ones who've been there for a while and won titlea
