    Howe initially saw this as a main game, as can be evidenced by Howe's initial plans himself:
    Then he decided to cut in earlier, which isn't a first and is not by any means frowned upon.

    Howe's counts as a main mafia game. If it's got a theme, it's not filler mafia. Mafia interest has really dropped off so the fact that not many people are playing doesn't mean it's not a real game.

    That said, the fact that interest has dropped off so much means it's probably not the best idea to have three games going at once lol.

    Is there really no point in this case? Particularly with simming coming back, the site's activity should only be increasing, meaning that some more posters should be around to play. Beyond that, Filler Mafia gives those killed early on in LOTR 2 a chance to keep their enthusiasm for mafia as opposed to having to wait for a month before getting more action.

    I've never really understood the one-game-at-a-time protocol at all. Having more than one game running more than likely helps to keeps people invested. There's no doubt JP and Filler 8 starting up whetted my appetite to play more, which is why I restarted my game. Plus there are no doubt other games going on in private subbies anyway.

    Filler mafia has lost its use, in that there are only a couple of people waiting to get into games now. But afaic we should have anyone prepared to run a game doing so. That way we wouldn't get so many non-starters when people lose enthusiasm after waiting for weeks.

    Agreed, Filler mafias are pretty pointless and littered with inactives. Or more specifically, littered with people that get bored of it after two nights and then fuck off completely.
