    It's not that we think you'd score less runs at 8 than you would at 9 - it's that the batting will be far too weak if you're the 8th best batsman in the team.

    It's not that I think you think i'd score less runs at 8. It's that I think you don't appreciate that I'd score MORE runs at 8. I refer you to my ALC record. This isn't much of a step up from that, if we're honest. I mean, look at how Marcus did, and he has reggies written all over him.

    Everyone would score more runs at 8 than at 9. There's more opportunity there. You're just not good enough though - you average ten in rep cricket with the bat. It's not like you've just played a couple of games there either. Batting one position higher isn't going to suddenly make you starting average 15 runs more; that's just superstitious garbage. The reason you fail so badly in rep cricket with the bat is because you're shit.
