You've largely done a reasonable job of keeping it tight... trusting you and Chewie to keep the choke on and Dev to do a better job than Dong of making breakthroughs.

Also had to do something to avoid Skippos having to bowl a single fucking over ever again. 3 overs for 43. Solid.

    Skippos and Cribbage like this.

This is when having a real strike fast bowler in the squad might have been useful...

  9. Baxter MJ Deane

You didn't do so much striking as being struck.... to the boundary.

  10. Julian BJ Taylor

i hear your sister is going out with squeak

  11. Skippos SM Morgan

Yup, had to change. Not much point having a bat at 7 anyway, might as well use an allrounder.

    THIS!

India won the toss and opted to bowl.

    CricSim 53/0

After being put into bat, the first ball nearly resulted in a runout had the ball not been thrown to the wrong end. It was part of an initially nervous start, with Mahmathlai being especially cautious after his run of low scores. But the CricSim openers managed to progress to a fine fifty stand after getting their eye in.

    20 overs: CricSim 107/1

Just as Mahmathlai was starting to look comfortable, he played all around a Kumar delivery and was caught in front. Nonetheless the successful James-Delonge partnership stood up again, carrying the Cricsim batting order into the middle overs strongly.

    30 overs: CricSim 156/2

Tom Delonge contributed the second almost-a-knock of the innings as he fell to Ashwin for 26. But Matt James was still there and raised yet another confident half century. Without Delonge to run him out, Oscar Wood progressed steadily and was able to celbrate his partner's fifty by clonking Pandya for a huge six over square leg.

    40 overs: CricSim 207/2

As a nine-ball Pandya over went for 13, CricSim were looking dangerous to kick on for a big score. But while James and Wood were able to accumulate they were unable to break the shackles completely against the India spinners, Ravi Jadeja especially proving hard to get away.

    50 overs: CricSim 296/7

Looking to pick up the pace, Oscar Wood made it to his half ton before dancing down the track to a wide Ashwin delivery that stumped him. In the spinner's next over, Matt James was able to hit Ashwin for three fours in an over, the last of them a drive through extra cover to bring up a classy century from 112 balls.

Finally CricSim were cutting loose, Bobby Hawke's arrival at the crease being the catalyst for a punishing stand of 53 in just four overs of Ashwin and Pandya. When James attempted another big hit off Ashwin, the offspinner had him bowled for a fine 126. Hawke wasn't quite as effective without the top order partner, and his burst of 20 was ended by the returning Jadeja with two overs to go.

A flurry of blows at the death from Chewie (14 off 11) and Scolari (17 off 7, before being lbw to the last ball) boosted India's target up to a daunting 297.

Only two down, two set batsmen at the crease - could be aiming for 340+ (ICC looool). Bracing myself for 268/8
