    Case by case basis for mine. Riccuito and Modra not winning medals in 97 because they didn't play on the day is a bit fucked, as Adelaide wouldn't have made the final without them IMO. For those who missed the season or something I don't have an issue with them not getting a medal.

    One that instantly springs to mind is Brendan Whitecross, did his knee so close to the Grand Final twice, probably won't get the chance to play another one now.

    It is a team game, therefor the team should be rewarded, not the individuals.

    By this I mean, every player that makes up the team, that plays for the team, that pushes the team towards a grand final win, should be rewarded for their role.
