Oh he'll make it back into BS immediately?

    Who'd come down? Lee?

In theory you'd assume Lee for a nerfed inactive would be better but then again Borisc was so good it probably won't be :p

  2. Cribbage RG Cribb

Especially since it throws off their balance. Borisc is a main bowler for them; Iridium is not going to be able to play the role.

Literally signing at the halfway point of the season means Borisc will be available for the ALC finals anyway though.

  3. MrPrez CM Dyer

Yeah. Will be huge for the rays and their whole "deep batting" thing though. Borisc would play at 8, I assume, and it would mean Logan isn't so heavily relied upon.

  4. Skippos SM Morgan

If Borisc played there's every chance it'll be a double move of him and Force in for two of Lee/Logan/Tuladhar

    Means he'd likely open.

  5. MrPrez CM Dyer

That's seriously hurt your Fangs bowling. But obv that's irrelevant.

  6. ModCat Tom CJ Ardley

Depends on who swaps out really, we lose Force and Borisc but don't get Logan it'll hurt most.

  7. Eds E Ames

Why does Borisc coming in make Force more likely to be promoted?

  8. Cribbage RG Cribb

It's probably just the timing of when Borisc signed. Next BS game they haven't named a lineup was evidently the same one Force had been pencilled in for.

  9. Eds E Ames

Fair enough. Just a shame that Borisc adds another bowling option I guess.

  10. Skippos SM Morgan

    Yeah, this.

We're running with 2 bowlers and a bowling allrounder. He might be 7th bowler (unlikely, though) but 4/5/6/7 would be batting allrounders sharing the workload of the 4th/5th bowler. He'll bowl plenty, I'd imagine.

hmm not sure whether he'd be worth promoting to Asia for Teja or not

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

Nah stick with your selection process. Him signing a contract mid-season really shouldn't affect your side given he was eligible for it before now anyway...

  14. Chewie JA Chewie

Yea but didn't he receive a penalty for not signing a contract?

  15. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah but there's no real life equivalent to what has happened. You can't suddenly just say "okay he's signed a contract so he's in the side now". You can consider him more heavily if you want to drop a player or something but just suddenly chucking him in the side would be stupid unless things actually changed. Not just theoretically changed.

You're supposed to follow a selection process, not just start guessing the simming averages.

Could argue that he started training harder, or just started to rock up to training in the first place. :p

  17. Chewie JA Chewie

But is there a real life equivalent of getting the penalty in the first place?

  18. Cribbage RG Cribb

He was no longer enjoying the benefits of being a professional cricketer.

And it takes more than just putting pen to paper for those benefits to become apparent. So I'm telling you - ignore the contract status of players; select on performance. I think you vastly over-estimated the affect the penalty would have in provincial cricket anyway, but regardless, you've got your side now so you're to follow a selection process. Dropping Teja for him at the moment would be illogical.

Nah, activity is training. And his activity has remained unchanged. He now has access to better training facilities at his club, but that's not going to have a great baring on rep cricket and certainly isn't going to make him better overnight.

What if he started taking peptides?
