Cheeky little finish

 

Lost 2-0 to Sporting Lisbon, but heard that didn't really reflect their superiority over us.

 

Flanagan and Smith picked up injuries in our 1-0 win over Southampton reserves.

Looks a serious injury to Smith

Edit- Should be mentioned that by the looks of things, Pacheco's had another good game. Its a shame he'll never make it here, but I'm sure he'll make a decent career for himself

 

Liverpool vs United u21 today.

 

Going to miss it due to work.

 

Liverpool ought to be favorites with that lineup. We have sent a lot of players on loan or sold them since January. Practically a new team plus all our available strikers are injured.

 

United won 1-0.

Weird but promising game that.

Liverpool had players like Shelvey, Wisdom, Suso, Sterling etc who have played regularly in their first team this season. Our first choice midfielders and defenders were out on loan, our best strikers injured and yet we won.

Januzaj was excellent, while Schlupp apart from finishing was promising. Ben Amos's save was cracking. Thought Thorpe was also very good.

 

United's best players were Januzaj, Thorpe and Lingard probably. Powell has obvious talent but could have done better today.

Buttner looked dodgy as usual even at this level while the trialist from Leicester playing upfront Schlupp was a menace who Liverpool defence couldn't deal with.

Sama got sent off trying to tackle him twice and Schlupp had his beating.


For Liverpool the defenders including Wisdom were poor. Suso looked good on the ball but struggled to do much. Shelvey imposes himself physically at this level and thus looked good.

Teixeira look good as well while Sterling was non - existent really.

 

Can't comment too much, haven't watched the game etc

But heard Coady had a solid game

 

Yeah, Coady was Decent. Was playing at the Back but looked better than the other Liverpool defenders including Wisdom.

Schlupp really run Sama ragged.

The Liverpool goalkeeper had a good game as well. (Ward ?)
