Hes not better than SWP by any stretch of teh imagination. Walcott cant cross to save his miserable little life.

SWP is just as fast, can cross and can also shoot without needing to be 5 yards away from goal
Walcott simply isnt number 1 winger. Youve got to be a retard to think so.
And SWP is a better utility striker than Walcott

Walcott can cross, just not as well as the other two. I accept that.
Though we're taking 2 big men, Heskey particularly isn't a goal scoring option, Capello operates with a big man as it allows people like Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard to come into the game more.

How do I know Capello likes him? Because he picks him everytime he's fit.

And yes, I know Joe Cole's been injured the majority of the season but the fact of the matter is, if he's fit and in form he's England's best winger.

He's not a great defender. He really, really isn't. Yeah we could with his his 1goal/10 matches prowess though.

Don't know how everybody seems to be forgetting that when he's fit Walcott gets picked. Think you're all just attempting to bait me tbh.

Lescott shouldn't go, he's woeful. Brown will go because he covers RB as well.

SWP has never ever played upfront. Such a joke.

Walcott has never been good up front. Such a joke

Massivly over rated by all Arsenal fans. SWP is a city player. What would I get by saying hes better than Walcott apart from acknowledging a rival club has a great RW attacker.

Stop thinking everyones against you trying to bait you. This is England football. Your letting your club bias get in the way.

Carrick is arguably one of England's most consistent Centre Midfielders. Playing as a DM, your main job isn't to score goals, unless I am horribly mistaken.

Just because Walcott gets picked doesn't mean he will go to the World Cup. Maybe Capello was just trying him out to see if he could handle it.

    He can't cross.

Well he hasn't proven he is fit or in form yet, and you are suggesting he goes.

Walcott has been good upfront, even if he's not first choice, which I'm not arguing he should be, he'd be so much better than SWP at coming on at running at tired legs. Walcott is quicker and is much more direct, even if his finishing isn't sublime it's considerably better than WP's. Look at Liverpool in the Champions League a few years ago, that sums up what Walcott has over SWP. He does it with regularity, I just picked that example as it's one you're likely to remember.

I'm seriously not. Walcott has had more success for England than SWP, bottom line. He's better.

If SWP was playing for Arsenal and Walcott at Man City, you would be saying exactly the opposite and you know you would.

  12. Verigoat S Verigotta

Difference between the 2s speed is negligable
Difference between close finishing is slightly noticable towards Walcott
Difference between further/powerful shots is largly noticable towards SWP
Difference in crossing is MASSIVE towards SWP

    SWP > Wallcott

  13. Baxter MJ Deane

    I honestly wouldn't FFS.

Look face it, I rate Walcott better than SWP. Capello has picked Walcott at virtually every opportunity since his hattrick in Zagreb.

That's all I've got to say, this thread's dog wank already.

  14. Eds E Ames

Because he's an Arsenal player. And as I said before, just because he has picked him doesn't mean he will be in the squad.

This thread's dog wank? Just because not everyone has agreed with your opinions doesn't mean it's a shit thread.

  15. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, it makes sense to pick a player at every opportunity in your first XI and then drop him down the pecking order by 4 places for no apparent reason.

It does, we've had "Young > Milner", "SWP>Walcott", "Carrick is a great DM", "Defoe isn't quick", people not picking Heskey in their squads even though everybody knows he's one of the first names on the sheet because Capello loves his partnership with Rooney(even though I don't think it's the best option myself. "Beckham > Walcott as a winger". "SWP>Walcott as a striker".

    More and more.

That's the last of it from me until nearer the time.

The sound of someone who's lost the argument tbh.

All of those are pretty much true, anyway.

  17. Baxter MJ Deane

Haha, yeah, as true as Tuncay being better in the air on the floor

Not at all, it's just another example of bullshit Eds logic. It's quickly becoming your trade mark.

Okay sure Marcuss. You are right and everyone else is wrong no matter what. How stupid of me to forget.
