Question to everyone who is somewhat bored What would your squads be at this moment in time, ignore all injuries Do a squad of 30 and bold your final 23
Hart Ruddy Foster Baines Cole Jones Smalling Jagielka Cahill Shawcross Clyne Walker G.Johnson Gerrard Lampard Cleverley Carrick Wilshere Milner Lallana Young DA OX Lennon Osman Walcott Rooney Welbeck Sturridge Lambert Carroll That would probably end up being mine as things stand
That's a bit crap. I'm not skeptical about Barkley's ability but you shouldn't get an England call up after literally one good game.
A squad is like 30 people and if its between giving him the experience of being with the group or like having an Osman or Parker then why not have him
Probably this, but changing McCarthy for Foster and Shawcross and Smalling. McCarthy really is a top drawer keeper, and I would be saying that without the Reading bias.
That's terrible bias. Saying that England finally have a player with ability in midfield. You're usually really unbiased too.
Good point. Playing Ross in the same midfield might breathe some life back into Gerrard's career. Ross could definitely teach an old dog new tricks.
Ross Barkley is nowhere near Gerrard's standard yet, despite Gerrard's age. Even as an Everton fan, surely you can see that?!
I think you misunderstand what I'm saying here. I don't think Ross is near Gerrard's standard. He's surpassed that already.
You really are incredible. How could you ever even consider 19 year old Ross Barkley, who has nowhere near Gerrards success, he's never inspired a team and he's only just earned his first ever England call up, let alone debut. To even suggest he's surpassed Gerrard is ludicrous.
Ross doesn't need to inspire a team, he inspires the world. From his African roots to his upbringing in the game at Everton, people, even someone as renown yet clearly inferior, like Steven Gerrard, look to Ross for inspiration. When he plays well the world smiles. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all." Perfect way to describe such wonder. And this quote is from a Disney film.
