Listen was excellent. Apart from that this has been worse than any other season imo. Apart from the end of Tennant which i stopped watching cos it was so shit
She's back for the Christmas special but then gone, yeah. Thought it was pretty lacklustre a finale myself.
Focused more on character development/character driven plots than a story/action. Which I get - this season in general has been far more focused on the twelve/clara relationship and each of them as individuals as opposed to real action - only fitting the season finished off that way. While obviously not enjoyable I think the way the Doctor and Clara left things was perfect given what we've come to know about them as people. It was honest as opposed to entertaining and I like that.
Reading that Jenna hasn't confirmed an exit, just not yet confirmed whether or not she's saying. Capaldi back for S9 though
Did anyone watch the first episode of season 9 today? All I'll say is holy shit, that episode was better than the entire last season.
It was ok, need to watch the second part for a proper judgement. The enterance with the guitar though, so good
Spoiler underneath: It's a bit of an issue that Missy completely outshines the doctor in terms of quirky doctorness.
Goddammit Moffat really doesn't know how to finish an episode, or do anything that'll have a whisp of being anywhere near seemingly permanent. So frustrating.
Finally, a decent finish to an episode. Series is looking up, really enjoyed this two parter, though the first bit before the titles did seem a little over indulgent. Might be because of the 4th wall breaking. Also pls pls pls pls let Maisie Williams be someone good next week.
since fucking when has Sid's dad been fucking Dr Who? That's almost as hilarious as how painstakingly bad this is as a show. Is it an unfunny comedy or embarrassingly excruciating serious show?
