A bit of earlier discussion might have helped. You waited till 9 minutes after Heefs cut-off point!

  5. Arheiner SIA Yates

Neither counterclaims directly and uses word you instead of us, seems legit.

  6. Phlegm SP Phlegm

This will look suspicious as hell since you buggers all have abilities but I am a vanilla diplomat and I'm going to get vigged anyway so \_/.

  7. Phlegm SP Phlegm

    Says this. Fair enough.
    And gets this response.
    And again, fair enough
Can't figure out whether flip flopping or trying to push the lynch through on an innocent and win.
And now we have two claiming vig.

So I think Starris is flip flopping and Quaggas or Arheiner is our killer. One of me or Starris will die tonight and it will be he said she said tomorrow.

  8. Phlegm SP Phlegm

Most likely Starris will die since he claimed an ability of some sort whereas I did not, however I may be bluffing. Who does the killer choose?

  9. Starris ER Starris

Indeed. I flip flopped as you put it once I knew there was a time line.

    Night Five

The preparations for the next Party Conference were messy and confused. No one had emerged as a clear leader for the Supreme Soviet over the past conference and it wasn't clear who was still in charge of the country. This was particularly apparent when looking at the deaths of the leader of the MGB and Soviet Army, leaving a power vacuum across the top echelon of Soviet Society.

Despite this, the apparatchiks knew that a Party Conference would still be required and hastily assembled the required venue and speakers in an unusially efficient way, given Soviet propensity for Red Tape.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, different factions competed for positions of strength in the new order. Various parties were planning hits on each other in order to secure their position in the Soviet hierarchy.

Amongst this maelstrom, a diplomat in Istanbul quietly continued his work. But who was he working for? Unfortunately for him, his assassin didn't care. A small drop of Polonium 210 in his morning coffee was enough to take him out before the conference.

Konstantin Volkov, Diplomat or Defector? is dead. He was played by Phlegm

  11. Quaggas O du Toit

Looks like Phlegm was the vig?

    Denounce Arnheiner

  12. Arheiner SIA Yates

What sort of hint is that that Phlegm was the vig? Combined with the fact Phlegm claimed vanilla...

    Lynch Quaggas

  13. Arheiner SIA Yates

or Denounce Quaggas should I say

  14. Arheiner SIA Yates

You gotta actually be kidding me. If Phlegm was bluffing Vanilla as Vig he'd have called me out yesterday, and you were the one counterclaiming yourself. Can't even keep your own story straight.

  15. Starris ER Starris

    denounce the evil Quaggas

  16. Arheiner SIA Yates

Eh that's it then I guess. If Starris was the bad guy I'm sorry, but he's always this inconsistent and you came across even worse.

  17. Starris ER Starris

    Think we are done.

  18. Phlegm SP Phlegm

Well that's still a better end for me than what happened in real life.

    The Sixth Party Conference

The disarray which characterised the previous Conference was not to be found this time. As soon as the conference opened, Grigorenko took the podium and pointed to one of the other delegates and denounced him.

"Tarnation!" shouted the man sporting a suspicious looking beard. "I would have got away with it too, if it wasn't for you pesky Commie bastards!"

The American was led away by a pair of MGB officers. He'd been up to all sorts behind the scenes, but with the weakness of the Soviet leadership a deal was eventually cut to return the spy to the US of A. He'd killed plenty of Commie bastards, but he'd also taken out the Soviet leadership and helped to end the tyranny of the Stalin era.

Yelena Bonner was the surprise choice to take the helm of the Supreme Soviet and led the USSR into a period of openness and honesty. A Socialist utopia was born. Defence spending was radically reduced and there was even talk of reducing the number of nuclear weapons held.

Walter Bedell Smith has been denounced. He was played by Quaggas

    Winners Circle

Piotr Grigorenko, Dissident Army Officer was played by Arheiner
Yelena Bonner, Dissident Nurse was played by Starris

    Man of the Match

Quaggas - lasted to the end and took out a ton of players without inviting investigation. In the end, was probably unlucky to hit Reds twice which possibly cost him the win. Winning as Serial Killer is pretty tough.

Kinda surprised that Town won that. They never really identified any Reds during the game and lost all of their investigative roles really early on. ITSTL.

Pah. But Low-Blow Joe wold have been proud

And, of course, I be back in an exchange at Checkpoint Charlie
