    Hamburg - Quarterfinals

    • Fourth seed Alex O'Driscoll casts a commanding figure in Germany at the moment, following another crushing victory over lower ranked opposition. Drawn against Celtic Provinces' Siege Morgan, O'Driscoll went on a rampage to drop just one game inside of an hour. Morgan, who lacked the weapons to go with O'Driscoll, was largely content to keep the ball in play. It gave O'Driscoll license to do what he pleased, as he advanced to the semis 6-1, 6-0.

    • His opponent there will be impressive teenager Paulson Reframe, who came from a set down to beat Asia's Jono Chewie. The Englishman found himself stuck in another tight three-set tussle after dropping the first set in a tiebreaker, and seemed to find another gear in an entertaining contest. While Chewie had a match point in the second set, he couldn't avoid seeing the match go to a third, where the solid Reframe set up a surprise 6-7(1), 6-4, 6-4 victory.

    • In the day's doubles action, qualifiers Joshua Ritchie/Lucas Schaw picked up a 5-7, 6-0 [10-1] mauling of Boshtrich Burger/Samuel Yates, while Ezequiel Ames/J.H. Ridd also did it easy in their 6-2, 6-1 hammering of Jono Chewie/Clay Evans.

    Rosmalen - Quarterfinals

    • Kiwi doubles regular Jonty Rhodes has added singles success to his resume, following a straight sets victory over England's Eddie Morris. Rhodes, who came from a set down to win his first match, was locked in a tussle with the 22-year old early, before managing to earn a surprise break of serve in the penultimate game to take a 6-5 lead. Having faced off four break points during the set, Rhodes finally got his serve into some sort of shape to hold to love and take the set 7-5. The free points Rhodes was getting on his serve continued to rise in the second, as an increasingly frustrated Morris struggled with his power. Morris was also finding it difficult to consistently trouble the Kiwi, and fell quickly in the second - Rhodes through 7-5, 6-1.

    • Morris' second set capitulation was nothing compared to Chad Ochocinco's performance against top seed James McDougal. McDougal, who dropped just two games in his opening round match against Gareth Weaver, was in the zone in his quarterfinal, as he dispatched Ochocinco in around three-quarters of an hour. The Asian player, in fairness, had an absolute shocker, as he managed a first serve percentage of just 40 per cent, and only brought up one break point. Despite a 30-0 lead in the final game of the match, he couldn't avoid the dreaded double bagel, as McDougal advanced 6-0, 6-0.

    • In doubles action, top seeds Jonty Rhodes/Gareth Weaver were stunned in their grass debut by Ginger Furball/James McDougal, 6-2, 6-3, while JAKE Howe/Eddie Morris came from a set down to beat Ritwik Chowdhuri/Aby Dforum, 4-6, 6-2, [10-4].

    Hamburg - Quarterfinals

    • Top seed Samuel Vimes has continued his march towards the Hamburg final, after recording an impressive 6-0, 6-4 win over qualifier Joshua Ritchie. The Kiwi was overwhelmed by Vimes' hitting in the first set, but lifted significantly to make a real fist out of it in the second. Vimes found himself in trouble a break down at 0-2 and 1-3, but managed to consistently cause Ritchie troubles on serve, as he advanced in straight sets.

    • His opponent in the semi-finals will be third seed Matt James, who overcame a stinking start against English qualifier Chad Dyer. Dyer took the first set 6-1, and had a commanding 3-0 lead in the second, before the veteran Aussie stormed back into the match to take the set to a tiebreaker. There he produced assertive tennis to win the breaker 7-3, and then showed his toughness again late in the third to clinch a 1-6, 7-6(3), 7-5 win.

    • In the doubles draw, top seeds Chad Dyer/Paulson Reframe advanced to the semifinals with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Siege Morgan/Samuel Vimes, while second seeds Luka Popovic/Alex O'Driscoll also prevailed 5-7, 7-5, [10-4] against Regan Hutchinson/Ether Starris.
