TBF I've been far better than Vago this season. He's averaged 34 in Rep cricket and 48 in the BS and I've averaged 41 in rep cricket and 63 in the BS.
Yeh I think its pretty unfair to call Luffers out over Vago when he's not even been that brilliant. Since season 3 he's had two season averaging in the 50s and the rest have all be < 40. Luffers > Vago every BS season he's played in, and has been better this season in the PC... and actually if you take his career PC stats, considering he's played just under half as many matches as Vago, he'sonly 100 or so runs short of where Vago would be.
A lot of the provincial matches Vago has played have been a much higher standard than the ones Luffers has played though.
Yeh this is true, but if you look at his record in those games he hasn't exactly excelled with the exception of S7. No idea how he went in the Origin stuff in recent seasons because I cba to check... but considering N vs S is the equivelent of what that was supposed to be, he isn't a stand out.
On season 10 form, I'd be pretty tempted to play Gee over both and open with RST. edit. but then I'd have to play Colesy or Jemmell at 3 and they'd sook.
But the rep cricket he's played this season has been of the same standard, and he didn't have to face one of the best bowling attacks in the PC. Yet he's still only averaged 32... I would say it was fair enough if Vago was picked ahead of me at first, but if he fails I'd be a bit gutted not to slot in for the second or third game. I would also still like to play the first one :ninja:
Well not really, because he played 3 games against NSW while you were playing three games against NZ.
I guess that evens it up. I still think he's riding into the team based on a good Rep performance last season though. If he fails he should be dropped, because he's been failing all season.
So was %RG Cribb though. Are you saying he'll miss out on Cricsim South because of a dire prior record, or has he done enough in prank rep cricket?
