    It was one of the first things I considered when bidding on Johnson, I thought I'd be able to get him at a reasonable price for his skill and added value. Even decided it was worth making sure I had backup with Luke and then Naiqama in the end. Bid on Mantellato as well, but that was largely because I thought it might be worth sneaking him on the wing to just boot goals in tight games.

    Actually yeah, nadyone's signing of Chad Randall counts in the last round of bidding. Didn't see the PM in time. But no-one else bid on him so it's all good. I'll update the big squad thread.

    Yeah I'm just going to let it slide. I've let a few slide like that. Was contracted, just didn't play due to injury. I'll cop officially in the squad as "playing" like I did with Hock and Hardaker.

    Ben Farrar is the same. Was injured last year & this year. Still contracted though.

    I had originally quoted this & highlighted something from my post, but realised the end of the post was a contradiction to the start.

    Both of them are quality wingers, Tuqiri has just been unlucky with injury.

    Menzies & Civoniceva are old. Petero just hung his boots up after the World Cup. Beaver retired a little over a month ago & turns 40 next month. They never got "past it"
    Tuqiri might not be the same player he was years ago, but if he's fit he still has a lot to offer.

    A bit harsh. How do you call a dual-International shit?

    Forwards always have longer shelf lives than outside backs, especially wingers.

    As much as I hate the 40 year old drunk from the local who thinks speed is the be all and end all for wingers, not having speed, agility and mobility to a decent enough standard as a winger makes them a huge liability. And your physical attributes are the first thing to decline as you age...

    Not really sure how I'm going to balance my forward pack, gonna be a bit of trial and error in the opening rounds. Just not sold on who I should play at lock; Blair, Harrison, Peachey or possibly even Gibbs. I bidded on a lock every round and missed out every time, was planning on using Blair as a prop.
