At this point in time mate....he is exactly what we need. Hard working, fan favourite, team ethic.....I could have named any amount of superstars....but they wouldn't fit in at Newcastle....VDV is the sort of player that would. Spurs and Harry should be so happy with that signing IMO....similar to Vidic...he does the job, gets on with it and isn't seen being a C*** in the papers everyday.....the way footballers should be.
Escath to please not choose me to kick out. I don't comment regularly but I stay up to date with what is happening in world football, and I make comment every now and then on here. If I do get kicked, I would be a reasonable co-manager...
But how to determine who starts in what division? And will have to create a regular league for that. So that a promoted team gets to play in the league above next season. Also it will have to be ensured that the likes of Messi / Ronaldo don't end up in the first division.
Once this is all decided upon. I think it would be best to Archive all the previous CPL Soccer threads, otherwise everyone will get lost.

Yeah, well just put me down as interested, as i would be pretty interested. I know a fair bit about football/soccer, probably not as much as some, but i do know enough.
And regarding the division thing. 2 tiers, Top 15 in top half, bottom 15 in 2nd half. Only fair, and then the bottom tier win promotion, and top tier face relegation. It will be able to work. And makes the lesser teams have to earn their right to be in the top division.
I'd happily start in second division, for more of a challenge. Also draft as someone suggested before. Figure out who will be second division first and give the first division two or three draft rounds by themselves. Then if a team gets relegated they lose there first three draft picks and second division drop there last three draft picks, and you do a short mini draft. People can also release any players they want at the end of the season and if they do they can go in a re-drfat.
Yeah, at the end of the season you have a choice wether to 're-sign' players, or let them go. And those players who become free agents go into a draft pool. I'd start in the second division tbh.
Gotta think of the work of re-arrranging 500 players (whoever came up with that), setting up and simming the 2 divisions with games n shit
