Fuck me, Stones was a great show. Keithy is a deadset marvel of medical science, how he is still alive I don't know. Mick still has it too, was prancing around like he was a quarter of his age. FTR Taylor, I dropped in here to gloat about being there as I was emailing a photo of the Speaker Arrays to a mate who does event sound and lighting. The forum was still open in a tab.
haha fair enough mate. More apt at a Stones concer than most I'd think, I'm presuming you were probs seated.
Yeh I was seated. 1st tier by the side of the stage, there was a relatively small standing area The Tongue Pit up against the stage with a catwalk around it, but it was anything but rowdy anyway. Mostly middle-aged women in fact . It was $600 for Tongue Pit tickets, where I was sitting was $200. Worth every cent however, their last few tours were in 1995, 2003 and now 2014 so the likelyhood of them returning will diminish with every passing year.
Off to Melbourne to see two gig a from my beloved Gaslight Anthem. I've been saving up for months for this trip and I've never been to Australia before. One of the gigs is a fan requet setlist too!
Finally, finally seeing them tomorrow night. I'm so, so, so fucking pumped for it too. To rub salt into the waitingh for so long wounds. My youngest brother saw them on a whim on Sunday night in Byron and he's not their biggest fan but said they were fucking epic.
Downbuzzzzzz Had tickets for Homegrown came down for it and all annnnd postponed till tomorrow - just my luck because I can't make tomorrow. Very expensive non existent weekend. Shit happens
Went and saw the Foo Fighters the other week, i enjoyed it, but my god , its like they played a solo after each song that went on for like 10-15mins each, explains why the show went a good 3 hours
I gave up on Foo Fighters after One by One. The first 6 songs on that album are brilliant. But it's like from track 7 there and for eternity they'll be shithouse, but making millions.
Thinking of going to see Jurassic 5. Has anyone seen them live? Really like their music, but not sure how it would translate to a live performance.
Yeah I was really only keen for Pumpkins and Soundgarden but Judas Priest was sweet, big gay Rob coming out on his Harley was sick ended with Painkiller. Went to the front of Steel Panther so when chicks get their titties out you only have to look backwards to catch them all, that tips for free boys.
I saw so many under 18 boys rush out of the stands to try and get as close to the stage as possible when all the chicks were showing their titties during Steel Panther's set. I was walking down to get in the front row for Antemasque who were playing right after Steel Panther on stage 2 and heard pretty much everyone say "did you see those tits?". Yeah, everyone did. It was pretty hard to miss if you were there lol.
So fucking gutted I couldn't see Priest in NZ especially since they played Beyond the Realms of Death and Victim of Changes omggg
