The one one Smelly went to? LOL, no. Progressive Metal. Possibly the most talented band I've ever heard, in terms of the actual music. Horrible singer tho.
Tbh, I don't mind LaBrie when he just uses his mid range voice. His aggressive vocals and high pitched stuff make me want to tear my ears off though.
Nah, that bit is awesome. Examples of what I hate are his vocals on Train of Thought and that part towards the middle of Another Day when he tries to go all high pitched and ends up sounding like a woman.
It might be blasphemous, but I don't like Another Day at all. It's just so.. >_> The "Whoooooooaaaaaa-ohhhhh"s in that song are just odd. I prefer his vocals on the newer albums, aggressive or not. :P
yuck. two albums ago i woulda loved to pay 90 bucks for that band. Now i will wait for them to disband and quit destroying their first three works with utter bullshit music. On the other hand, i go to merideth in a 6 or so days. Thats pretty much my ideal lineup. Might go see Die! Die! Die! in 2 days if i find 20 bucks. Probably a few scattered in before i go to pyramid. And then i play a gig on the 18th! win!
I kinda like Surrounded, prolly the best of the 3 slower songs. Agreed with Metropolis and LtL being the best tho. Take the Time would be my 3rd.
Pretty ****in' keen for GZA next year. Got tickets to Meredith, Big Day Out, Soundwave, Pixies, ACDC, Girl Talk, & Devendra Banhart.
I haven't seen them live yet though. And this recent set list: Son Et, Inertiatic ESP Cotopaxi Goliath L'via Eriatarka Since we've been wrong Cicatriz Halo of Nembulets Miranda that ghost isn't holy anymore Teflon Viscera Eyes The Widow Roulette Dares is pretty ****ing sick.
Im off to Paramore on the 16th December, Really, really can't wait. Also planning on the following next year: Enter Shikari Pendulum Muse Metallica (If they announce the date) The Prodigy (With Enter Shikari and Pendulum supporting) Some good S*it there.
neither have i. But that is a decent set list. Still to many songs of the last two albums for me. **** i hate those albums.
