Provincial basketball is here! Alright guys, so with the conclusion of the playoffs, the provincial season is here. As you may have read, I head off to the US with Diggler on the morning of the 16th so this needs to be done quickly. Please try to submit your lineups asap, the cut off for them is 9pm AEDST Tuesday. If we can all get them in by 9pm AEDST tomorrow (Monday) I can get the first round of games up tomorrow night. If you're interested in seeing who you're playing check this thread. Season 6 Will begin somewhere between late January and mid February. Between then is the provincial stuff, but also contract signing, etc, which will be done while I'm overseas. A reminder that you can now sign multi-season contracts and that doing say boosts your activity rating by 5% for each season. You can re-sign with your current team for 3 seasons or with another team for 2. Signing for 2 gives you a 5% boost, 3 a 10% boost. This is not compulsory as I'll be holding people to their contracts - you'd have to get a trade to move teams. All team owners MUST sign 3 season contracts. It's time for some stability. These contracts are ones that I may be willing to allow owners to break if the situation makes it necessary - but it's probably not going to happen. Also, just a reminder there are two new teams entering the competition (the Hurricanes and the Polar Bears). This takes up to 12 teams which means that we have an even 16 round fixture where you'll play your conference opponents twice (one home, one away) and interconference opponents once (three home games, three away games). I'm not sure if I'll have the top two, or top four from each conference make it yet. Struggling for numbers? Recruit some players who haven't signed up! Remember that you only need 8 and that rookies are not terrible players - we saw some awesome rookies this season. Old Mate was great while not being too active and Burger was awesome in the Finals. Seeya cunts, off to enjoy my holiday funded by BasketballSim. Commish out.
