Marley Williams gets a 12 month suspended sentence. Few weeks in the VFL and then he'll be back and a very handy inclusion for us
To be 5-2 at the break is massive for us. At the start of the season I thought we were going to be 3-4 at best so this start gives us a good building block for the rest of the year. After the bye we have Adelaide (away) and then West Coast, St Kilda, Melbourne and the Bulldogs so all winnable games.
Pies should be a lock for the top 4 now, pretty easy run over the next few weeks and will get Reid back which will help heaps
Wouldn't say a lock for top 4 just yet. If we can win all the games we are expected to in the next month then we will be a huge chance. We play Hawthorn twice in the last 8 or 9 rounds so there are 2 guaranteed losses as they beat us for fun so we can't afford to drop winnable games.
who else will challenge for the 4 though? for me its (in no order) Hawks, Pies, Cats, Power with Swans and Freo 5th 6th
If Freo, North or Sydney can produce some consistent footy then they will challenge. I'd like to think we'll make top 4 as I reckon we have a strong team but you never know what can happen with injuries to key players, form drops etc.
Can't see North getting top 4, basically not good enough and way to inconsistent , Sydney i think will just miss out and Freo i just dont like
Toovey, Maxwell, Young and Fasolo all likely to come into the side on Thursday. Sinclair to play VFL and Reid also close to resuming in the VFL. Very tough for selection!
Good news for the club, just hope he can stay on the park. Not sure who he comes in for though with the 22 we have at the moment. Langdon is the one that comes to mind but you can't drop him with how he is playing. Jarryd Blair is another who could come under pressure as Fas could easily replace him up forward. Not sure we would do that as Blair provides some great defensive work in the forward line with his tackling and chasing.
Yeah he just goes about his business quietly. Plays his role and does enough to hold his spot each week but never stars.
