I'd be absolutely amazed if O'Driscoll doesn't start. Particularly with North a sure starter on the wing.

    My XV as things stand:

    TH: Adam Jones
    H: Tom Youngs
    LH: Healy
    Locks: Wyn Jones, O'Connell
    Openside: Warburton (c)
    Blindside: Croft
    No8: Faletau

    SH: Ben Youngs
    FH: Sexton
    Inside: Roberts
    Outside: O'Driscoll
    Wings: North, Cuthbert
    FB: Halfpenny

    Nailed on starters in bold.

Warburton will obviously start, but can see Tupiric's form meaning he'll start at #6, in which case Croft might even be shunted to #8.

Can also see Tuilaigi starting as a wing. Be very interesting to see if he gets a run there in one of the warm ups.

Reckon Hibbard will get in. Meteoric rise and all that

  4. The Boy Brumby ZJ Brumby

Can't throw for shit and not as mobile round the paddock as Youngs or Hartley.

If he gets in I scream "Welsh bias" very loudly.

Wallabies team named for the tour. Folau was named and no surprise since Deans said he would basically be a Wallaby before even playing a Super Rugby game. Some players left out too is a bit surprising such as Mogg and Cooper

  6. Rego RS Hutchinson

Lil surprised about Mogg, not so much about Cooper. It's a preliminary squad anyway which only consists of 25 players.

6 more players will be selected after the Reds and Force play the Lions. So Quade will play the Reds game so no doubt will be selected after that.

  7. chris473 CJ Devonshire

Yeah that's true. Might be sending a message to Cooper too

11 week ban for Hartley then; no tour for him now.

It's the Best news for a certain Irish hooker tho. :clown:

What an idiot. Ruins what could be the best moment of his career

  10. Howe JHF Howe

Looks like Hibbard to start ATM. Can't say I'm convinced there but Youngs did anything to quell fear over his line out yesterday.

Flying to Brisbane for the match on the 22nd of June. Don't really follow the Union much but 2 of my mates are Irish and they've conned me and one of their other Irish mates into going. Will be the only Aussie in our group so would be good to see the Wallabies get up.

    Hartley. What a tool

  13. Howe JHF Howe

    Team for the Barbarians game

    1. Vunipola
    2. Hibbard
    3. A Jones
    4. Gray
    5. O'Connell*
    6. Lydiate
    7. Tupuric
    8. Falatau

    9. Phillips
    10. Farrell
    11. Maitland
    12. Roberts
    13. Davies
    14. Cuthbert
    15. Hogg

    16. T Youngs
    17. Healy
    18. Stevens
    19. AW Jones
    20. Murray
    21. Sexton
    22. North

#8 probably the most debateable position atm so those two are worth keeping an eye on. Warburton, Halfpenny, O'Driscoll, Tuliagi and Ben Youngs presumably missing out due to the situation being clear - which is good news for those 5 but for Parling, Cole or Kearney it's less encouraging. Stevens I expect is only there because he can play on both sides of the scrum and Jenkins is injured.

Reckon that is a good warm up squad. Ensures that everyone gets a cap.

  15. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Tuilagi and O'Driscoll starting centres? ITSTL would say Roberts is ahead of both imho

  16. Howe JHF Howe

It's what I would do. O'Driscoll is your distributor and Tulagi your battering ram. Wouldn't begrudge Roberts a place at all though.

  17. Droos JP Rhodes

Playing Tuilagi and Roberts together won't work imo. You'd have two battering rams just running the ball dead at every opportunity.

Playing either of them with O'Driscoll is perfect with BOD's distributing and his ability to run perfect support lines for the offloads out of the tackles by either Jamie or Manu.

  18. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Personally Id have Roberts ahead of Tuilagi though

  19. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

England do alright with two battering centres too

  20. Mike ML Martyn

Admittedly haven't see him play in a while but is Maitland really better than North?
