Whenever a scoot occurs, there's a 51% chance it'll be by the hooker (or the lock if the hooker happens to be playing the ball), a 24% chance it'll be by a winger, a 24% chance it'll be by a centre and a 1% chance it'll be by some other random stooge. I can change those numbers around pretty easily though.

You have to take into account the fact that you lose metres by playing the ball and by throwing a pass. Skandalis may have made 7m on the first tackle of that example, but he got the ball 1m back from where Morris played it, so the team only made 6m.
