I do basically agree with Magic though, I think. Rapana's been gun but NZ have lots of really good wingers so I don't see the need to get him in there based off such a small sample of games.
I'm not saying he deserves to be there, I was calling you stupid for picking shit off match reports. Says the cunt who picked Lowe.
Oh OK...so reading detailed match reports and checking how players went in games I haven't watched should have no influence on my own test selections. Riiiiiiiight. Even if Rapana has gunned it in a few games we have so many top drawer wingers that he's still well down the pecking order. He won't make the side.
I retracted that by picking Papalii. If given the opportunity though I'd pick Ethan Lowe again over Matt Gillett every day of week. Hell I'd pick Mitch Aubusson before I'd pick Matt Gillett for Australia so put that in your pipe and smoke it.
It shouldn't when you always brag about watching more footy than anyone else. That just shows you've got no idea and let your hatred for the Broncos cloud your judgement. Gillett is one of the best backrowers in the world at the moment. He would look even better if Milford wasn't dominating down the left.
It does seem I have a thing against Broncos second rowers, this argument feels like a regurgitation of similar arguments involving Sam Thaiday and Alex Glenn. I'd consider my selection of Mcguire over Klemmer or Fifita an unpopular one so it's definitely nothing to do with the Broncos, seemingly just their overrated second rowers.
When have I every bragged about that? I don't watch more footy than anyone else and have never ever claimed to. I would be embarrassed if I had the time to watch every single NRL game. You just make shit up...all the time. The only thing I might have said is I have probably watched more kiwi rugby league games than anyone else, but that's only because of my age :ninja:
You aren't wrong about Glenn and Thaiday, they are average and not rep quality. Gillett you are definitely wrong about. Klemmer and Fifita are bother better bench options than McGuire with reduced interchange. McGuire is a big minutes or not in the team player, IMO.
You just need to learn to respect your elders big lad. With age comes experience...and in my case infinite wisdom. Something you might start accumulating soon...(although I doubt it)...it's hard to teach a monkey to read and write.
I'm going to throw it out there that for the first time since his Test debut, I don't think I'd be picking Mannering this year.
I don't think Blair's the best NZ have to offer at lock or prop either but he's co-captain so I think we can safely assume he'll be there.
NZ definitely have better wingers than him but he's still a chance for a centre spot. He played centre in all three games last year against England I think.
Yeah..or at fullback with RTS out. Not sure that anyone is a lock-in there yet. Hiku seems to be favourite if the last report I read was anything to go by. Then there's Lolohea or Watene-Zelezniak.
