Hing performing in this match has certainly helped us.

  3. Cribbage RG Cribb

Green and Gonzo would be the most frustrating opening bowling partnership as a batsman, ever. They never give away any fucking runs, either of them.

  4. Callum CJ Laing

  5. mouse MJ Edwards

  15. morgieb MC Burridge

Pretty big upset by the Brumbies.

How far away is Green from a firsts recall?

  16. Cribbage RG Cribb

They've been talking about constantly since he came back and started posting. :p

I think it's inevitable personally but he'd need the young blokes ahead of him to fail.

    -1 round IMO

  18. Callum CJ Laing

I wouldn't 100% rule out him coming back next round. Depends what the BS guys do this round.

Pressure on me, Doog and Smith to perform then...

I think part of what made Green especially crap last season is that he's a defensive bowler, which made him pretty unsuited to lead an attack that was full of shunts. The better the bowlers around him are, the better he'll be. I also think this is one of the main reasons the Cyclones have never won a premiership. They always looked to him to lead the attack and while he was a very good bowler and while he often returned a good average, he didn't have the overall impact on the rest of the attack that the other strike bowlers around the competition did. It left you with Johns as the striker and Green as the support bowler and it was never really quite good enough.

This is one of the reasons I always liked him as a rep bowler, and he's a good bowler, but he's no saviour of a crap attack.
