Adelaide, Frematle and West Coast

    Three sides who everyone (except Skippos) thought would make the 8 pretty safely are now really struggling.

    What are your thoughts on them?

    Personally, I reckon Adelaide are gone. Wrote them off before the Walker injury. Can no longer see them making the top 10.

    Thought Freo were definitely on for the top 6, likely top 4. After losing Pav for two months, and now Bradley. This is on top of Sandilands and Clarke being out I really can't see them making the top 4. They'll struggle playing away from home, but should be able to pick up a few easy kills over at Patersons and make the top 8.

    West Coast on the other hand should be able to make it into the 8. Still a fairly good side with a few key players to comeback. But from 1-4, top 4 seems out of the question.


    Predictions:
    Adelaide - 11th
    Freo - 7th
    West Coast - 6th


    Having a derby elimination final is very good chance of happening.

    Adelaide were always posers, over achieved on an easy draw last year.

    Freo will be right, not a threat to the flag but should be be safely nestled in the 8 with 2 games to go.

    Fremantle aren't struggling.

    Adelaide and West Coast definitely are though.

    WCE will still make finals. Adelaide no chance.

    Freo are a problem because they've got injuries to key personell and a playing group that's still pretty young and a long way to travel when away from home. The Richmond win was massive given the way they lost to Essendon.

    They have no key forwards.

    Pavlich is gone, Bradley is gone. They'll be playing a reserve ruckman at Full Forward.

    They beat Richmond by 1 point at home. They'll struggle away from home massively.

    They'll still make the 8. But they're no longer a top 4 consideration imo.

    Reckon Eagles and Dockers probably will be alright.

    You add the likes of Nic Nat, Wellingham, Embley, Nicoski and Rosa back into the side and it really increases the strength of the side.

    This really isn't as bad as it sounds. Fremantle's game really can thrive with just one ruckman at full forward bringing the ball to ground. Mayne essentially plays like a mobile key forward with less height and ballantyne and walters love it when it's brought to ground.
