    So let me get this straight...

    Tart is clear and good enough to have Speirz identity because

    Shri said Tart is clear beyond doubt and Athlai has a hunch that Shri is clear because of how he's acted on the thread.

    Don't get me wrong, my read on Shri is positive too but this whole broken telephone thing is playing a dangerous game

    And yet we've been more than happy so far to accept Katas reports with no giarantee he was green. Trusting reports more or less blind is a risk that gets taken in every mafia game. And trying to bluff that as mafia is a high risk strategy because if Shri is lying about Tart amd he turns out red it brings Shri down too.

    Yeah I'm not disagreeing with this at all. My point was more on the lines of X could vouch for Y and Y could vouch for Z so Z is clear beyond doubt.

    If we assume all of them are being truthful and take out "beyond doubt" from the equation because we can never know the mechanics in the game (godfather, faulty report, lawyer etc etc) and we just look at it from a probability standpoint

    Assuming X is 100% clear...

    X vouches for Y with an 70% chance (i.e. a read on Shri)
    Y vouches for Z with an 85% chance (i.e. Shri's "beyond doubt" knowledge of Tart)

    Looks good on paper but the chances of Z being green is actually 59.5% which is not so flash. The longer that line is, the less sure we can be. And that's assuming that X is clear beyond doubt. In this case that's KATA's report on Athlai.

    Overly simplified and hypothetical example obv to illustrate the point

    Yeah thats why id remove the Athlai part of that completely. Mafia clearing mafia so openly is such a ballsy move that you very rarely see it done. Im not ruling it out ofc but im waiting for that to be verified before i worry about it. So even if Shri is mafia his clear on Tart is still pretty solid.

    However i agree that actually the way Shri has done the clear is a bit inconclusive

    Escath and Howe are the only ones I'm basically sure about because I know their characters and I suspect anyone paying attention to the game properly do as well. I would much rather the info in the hands of Escath or Howe and failing that Speirz as opposed to anyone else. Just to be absolutely safe and because of the reasoning I posted above.
