Hopefully Rodgers gets him to pull his finger out and actually play in a team.

    Is he better than Sturridge/Coutinho/Sterling?

    Coutinho that deep? Yuck

  8. Uppercut CB Faldo

Coutinho was awesome in that role last year.

I guess it is just a like for like swap for Suarez. Never considered him actually playing that position - always figured it was further forward

Coutinho's a bona fide 8 rather than a 10 these days IMO. Can't regularly control the game from 10 but awesome at carrying the ball from deep at almost all times.

Not that I'd go with that diamond though...

Coutinho's still a bit too inconsistent for my liking to be a guaranteed starter anyways.

Using numbers to describe any position other than GK or forward roles a la 9/10 is not cool Eds

  13. Baxter MJ Deane

Would it really make a world of difference if he said CM/CAM

  14. GIMH GIMH Martyn

Well I knew that's what he meant but tbh I don't automatically associate '8' with attacking mids

  15. El Nino J Torres

    Does anyone?

Spent the Suarez money pretty fucking well imo

Liverpool: Moreno, Lambert, Lovren, Manquillo, Can, Balotelli, Marković – £80

    Super Mario!

United had a recent history of attacking number 8s. Mata, Rooney and at a stretch Anderson in the last 10 years

Irrelevant in the squad number era
