Yeah I think scrap the salary caps but maintain the energy levels. I'd also base the energy levels on the post ranks of each team rather than as a whole so it is fairer for each team. Or even make it everyones energy level is the same and the drop it by 10% for simplicity.
Regarding Heath's post I've had an idea: 5 Teams of 20 Players, scrap all current teams and encourage people not to just recreate the same squads and stuff but move around. Perhaps even introduce a quota thing where you have to have at least 4 players from NZ, AUS, GB, ROW or whatever so that you don't cluster all provincial players in one club even.
If Eds does that then I will be fully throwing a sook. There's continuing gold in the Spartans sub-forum. The only place that has been having any actual activity in December; as any other Spartan will confirm.
Forgot to add that the idea behind spreading provincial players was to avoid having a dire club and that the stronger players were spread. Maybe do a draft?
Even with new teams, the Spartans sub-forum has to be kept somehow. In fact, I don't know how it'd work... I'm certainly not going to do my own 'blitz' just because Eds has got bored with simming.
A draft is a bad idea because if a player goes to a club they don't want to go to, they're screwed and the club is screwed.
That's exactly why I say scrap it Heath and Marcuss and mix everything up. It's more interesting if we change everything, it'll bring a new buzz of atmosphere to SR cos people will be wondering what the new SR will hold opposed to the originals staying put.
The best thing about being in a team subbie is the good team mates. I'd rather be with a lot of Kiwis like Gaz, Jase and Nino as we are all interested in the same sort of stuff. If a quota is there we may not get the enjoyable subbies that are sought after.
Fair point. TBH just don't get new clubs with essentially the same squads, integrate Aussies and Kiwis with Brits relatively equally somehow.
Nah, the Spartans are gun. If people want to leave (which I doubt/hope not) then they can. But there's a core group at the Spartans and we don't want to be split up. We've actually got a bit of a relationship in there. It's like no other subforum. Ever.
