Well the long awaited announcement is finally here. After a solid training camp with the preliminary squad and much deliberation, the following is the 17 man squad for New South Wales in game one of Origin; 1. Rabbit Boy (Test Eagles) 2. Dirk Erschoff (Rainbow Donkehs) 3. Luka Popovic (Rainbow Donkehs) 4. Ben Herd (Pumas RLFC) 5. Haydos Bots (Test Eagles) 6. Freddie Fittler (Cyclones) (C) 7. Benjamin Jacobs (Test Eagles) 8. Thomas Delonge (Rainbow Donkehs) 9. Scott Wilson (Hawks) 10. Ben Storer (Rainbow Donkehs) 11. Sam Green (Cyclones) 12. Ben Parker (Test Eagles) 13. Bob Borisc (Cyclones) 14. John Wilkinson (Pumas RLFC) 15. Luke Tyson (Hawks) 16. Benjamin Read (Cyclones) 17. Allan Izett (Test Eagles) Some really tough selections in there. The Winger spot was really neck and neck between Erschoff and Armstrong but it went to Erschoff. Then the centre spot between Popovic and Taylor was extremely close as well but Popovic gets the nod. The front row was a toss up between the three as to who started and who was on the bench. In terms of the captaincy, there were three people in it and only 1 person ended up starting so it was a no brainer here considering you can't have a captain on the bench . Fittler used to whinge about it well before you Benny so don't go have a whinge. There is no doubt that with his experience, Fittler will lead the boys to victory. Congratulations to all those selected.
Awesome lineup, pretty much what I would've picked given Damo and Weaver unavailable for Game I. This simulator deserves a much better send-off than *spit* Queensland *spit* winning its last official competition, so hopefully we can take it out.
You also said that it was neck to neck with Armstrong, but you went with him, yet he is not in the squad. GYR in a world of his own.
