2020 NRL Season

I would have Cordner second to Keary in terms of importance to the team. He just flat out sets the standard on every single play, every single minute. We had a different edge last week with him back in the side.

You’re talking a bout a bloke who’s averaged 120m+ per game for the past 7 seasons straight as a second rower and also maintained his record as one of the most prolific try scoring backrowers in the game (if he’s not the most prolific).

 

Geez Ponga has gone backwards this year, doesn’t seem to be handling the extra workload that O’Brien has been looking for from him and as as result his confidence looks shot.

I wonder if next year they don’t look at possibly giving him another crack in the 5/8 jersey.

 

As I say that scores a brilliant individual try.

Yeh that was a real bad one, especially when all momentum has stopped and you’re just trying to wrestle them to the ground it’s inexcusable.

Good high quality game, Souths have definitely gone up a gear in recent weeks I just don’t think they’ve got the points in attack to compete with the best sides. Especially now that Latrell is out.

Jaydn Su’a has had a really impressive season, got it all. Brutal defence, great flick pass & takes his carries to help out his middles. Just needs a couple of those dumb errors out of his game.

 

Haha yeh, the my comments are more around when he's being asked to carry the ball on 3rd and 4th play centre field as a support runner or taking a 2nd yardage carry in a set when they're struggling. Neither was required last night because the Sharks put absolutely no pressure on them at any point.
