how good is he going to be? he looks pretty damn good already. who knew hopping before the line would be so effective
If he doesn't have the best footwork of any player I've ever seen, he's damn close to it. Get him in there Kevvie.
Benji. I mean, the Ponga hop is definitely different. But hopping before the line is 100% all the old school Benji step was as well.
Ah yes, I was definitely not surprised last year to learn that Western Australia and New Zealand are both in Queensland.
He's a good chance of being QLD fullback when Billy is done. Lately Darius is looking like he is done as a player, and the only other competition is Munster, who will be in the halves already.
Yeah I tend to think Munster will end up fullback for Melbourne after Slater retires, and that'll give him the inside running for the Queensland spot at the same time (assuming Slater doesn't split up his retirements). I don't think it's a certainty that Munster will be a long-term fixture in the halves for Queensland at all given he's the same age as Milford, and only three years younger than Morgan. He's ahead of Milford now due to his debut last year but I don't think it'd take much for that to change.
Munster could turn into the bloke that we put into spots that someone is injured. He could rotate his positions 1-6 over his career.
It definitely appears that way. He has deserved selection in the past and missed out. He does come across as an easy to hate kinda guy.
I really rate DCE as a player but Kevvie seems to live in a dream world where the fact that he wears 7 on his back means he's a specialist halfback. It's so untrue that I almost think the opposite is true. I'd hesitate to pick him in a team where he had to be a dominant first receiver -- he hasn't done that since 2016 and he hasn't done that to a particularly good standard since about 2014, and even back then he and Foran played more of a split halves role. He's a gun so he might be able to make it work with some time, but Queensland's administration seem to have him pegged so wrong at the moment that I wouldn't have faith in firing immediately.
That's not to say I'd pick Hunt or Taylor ahead of him. No fucking way. I'm just not convinced Queensland will use him well tbh.
