Bit of a weird game to be run on the side, probably with ~15 players. To be starting in a couple of weeks (ish) so feel free to use this thread to knock around any first impressions of the concept or thoughts about balance. The basic idea is that everyone is neutral and most people's only goal is to survive. They can't just win together though as a few people need to be the last alive to win (and are generally killers). The game ends when no one is still alive with a contradictory win condition.
So you're saying we're doing another Battle of the Members? I think it would have been an interesting idea (one I've thought about) if you hadn't told anyone about it. Since people already know it'll likely end up being another popularity contest.
Not sure what you mean - people vote for who they think are killing people as in most mafia games. Wouldn't be a RL every day
Well presumable any killers would work as individuals, rather than being joined together as a faction. I guess you could kind of imagine it like a horror movie in which there are multiple psychos running loose. Everyone else wants to get rid of killers, but they always want to keep their family/best friends etc safe. At least I think?
Oh I was just thinking about the "town" side of things. Not sure how it'd work since there would be no opportunities to scum hunt if everyone is just working for themselves.
Ultimately everyone wants the killers dead, as they pose a threat to survival. So roles like trackers/watchers would still make sense. Would also open the game up to other roles that are less frequently used in forum mafia, like grannies and giving out guns during the day
It's an interesting idea. Sadly I really don't have the time for multiple mafia games so i'll sit out.
