England to scrape home and keep their hopes alive, Aus to get a bonus point Wales 13 England 10 Aus 10 with one game to go
Australia has played better, so it'll be interesting. The kick in the butt/ home crowd is worth 7 points though. Gonna be epic. Get your tears ready English folk, may need them.
I can't wait. This will be a match for the ages even if the scoreline isn't a nail biter like last week. Will be cheering for Australia so that Wales go through but expecting England to win. Home crowd advantage needs to come into play here. The crowd need to fire up for the Poms. None of this polite applause. Yell and scream your boys home. Will be the defining reason they win if they do get up. Good luck to all the players. May turn in early so I can get up and watch. Hell yeah.
We beat Australia convincingly last time we played. But they had deviated from their winning plan. Home crowd is against them but they've gotta easily be in the top three to take the whole thing out. Both teams have a lot to prove and play for and if they front it'll be potentially one of the games of the cup. Hell if it's close like Wales vs England it'll be epic. Damn the pomes threw that one away.
I can understand why people don't want England to do well. I can't understand why people want Wales to do well.
I don't know where I am going with this next post - it is just emotional talk - so forgive me Howe as it will not be linear. Even though Australia get another kick at the can if they lose they can't afford to think like that. This is must win for both teams. There are various personalities that do better in games like this. In real life I have always gotten up for big knock out matches be it, table tennis, soccer, or cricket. I just get very determined to succeed and tend to coast along during the regular season. I don't even have a stake in this game but I am starting to get an adrenaline build up like I am playing for some reason. Based on my microscopic amount of experience playing in big matches the players need to: 1) Hate the opposition 2) Be determined 3) Do whatever needs to be done on the day and no more. Don't try to over play your hand or win the whole thing by yourself. Good luck to both teams. I can't wait to see which individuals show well under the pressure.
I'm on the same boat as you. The English economy will take a hit but meh not our problem. I'll probably do an all nighter, with the lineup of games we have tonight looking pretty awesome (Samoa v Japan), (Scots vs SA) then this one. Will probably end badly as I have family coming up to visit for lunch tomorrow but can't miss these games tbh.
1) Rugby nation like us and SA 2) I am backing them because others wrote them off after the halfpenny injury. 3) It will break my heart and the hearts of millions of Welsh if they get eliminated after their performance last week.
I've always had a soft spot for Ireland/ Wales out of the northern hemisphere teams. Sucked when both had to play in the quarters last RWC.
I love how we have one bad spell in one game and suddenly everyone's calling us out as being a weak side. Yes we may lose to aus and go out of the WC but with this group that was always on the cards. Knock out tournaments are always very hard to win, if they werent New Zealand would have won them all
It was only half a troll post really. Like, I can understand why people do, I just can't empathise with it at all. I don't dislike many things, because I don't find that a very productive attitude to have in life, but I definitely have a (relatively poorly justified) dislike of the Welsh team.
