@Ritchie: Clarification on your spellcasting You automatically know all the spells you can cast. Each day you prepare a total of wisdom modifier + cleric level spells that you can cast for the day. Your domain spells are separate from this and can be considered to always be prepared. Each day you can cast up to the number of spell slots you have available at your level. So basically you're not as OP as we all thought and I can probably keep your character around a bit longer.
@Bots: Page 195 for shoving a creature in future. Don't think it would have mattered because it's only 5 feet though.
@Everyone: Shooting into melee isn't a thing in the PHB, but in the DMG there is a rule where the cover bonus will be applied and if your roll would have hit if not for the cover bonus AND the roll would beat the AC of the "cover" then it actually hits the cover instead. So let's say X fires into Y who is three-quarters covered by Z. Y and Z both have AC 10. X rolls 12, which would have hit Z if not for the cover bonus (-5) and the roll is higher than Y's AC, so it actually hits Y instead.
Back in Australia tomorrow. Not sure when I'll have Internet up and running. Probably good for next Sunday!
It's not that I'm going to be bad in combat it's just I have no HP or AC atm. Until I get/buy full plate armour I'm pretty much a glass cannon.
This is how 5ed works. First level players are pretty much walking corpses - it's going off the basis you're no less fragile than anyone else at this stage. Caution is the best course of action until you get to about level 3 i think
This is where having such a high wis is a pain. Only being able to cast 2 spells with 6 prepared is such a tease!!
Unless horrible things happen, we'll probably be level 2 next week so you might want to prepare for that.
