Yeah like 20 odd more than the other 2. Also unlikely. We do have the advantage of knowing what we need though, so we can make decisions such as going for the corner better
We've got that and we've got playing at home, it's a pretty good scenario for us. I wouldn't be completely shocked if France jumped us but they really don't look good enough this year.
I still feel that Ireland will beat Scotland more than we'll beat France though. That's where my main worry is tbh
Would like to see England really go for it versus France and fill the bench with game breakers rather than players to close out a game So Wiggles, 12T out and Simpson and Wade it Burell out of 23 and Eastmond to start
Market has flocked towards England taking the title after today. England £1.78 Ireland £2.88 Wales £11
Haimona ruled out for Italy, might be a blessing in disguise. Italy could well embarrass the French again here.
It's a very poor disguise, tbh. Aside from bulk I really can't see what Haimona brings. Allan's distribution is obviously superior, but his place kicking is similarly flakey.
Parisse's kicking from hand a work in progress, obvz. & don't laugh, he could be their next stand off; remember Bergamasco at #9.
Okay, question. Which players from other teams would you take into England's starting XV, assuming everyone was healthy? I can't imagine it's an especially long list: Sexton, Halfpenny (to play on the wing) , North. Maybe a couple of other players, but I think they'd be toss-ups at best.
Josh Furno looks a bit like Jesus would if he lived on protein shakes and creatine rather than loaves and fishes. Yup, Allan's kicking predictably unpredictable. Sigh.
Parisse. Fofana. Dusatoir or Cowan at #7. Connor Murray, probably. I'd find space for Hogg too, maybe even ahead of Brown.
I'd take Roberts over Fofana right now, considering the way he and JJ are playing. Murray is a smart player but made to look a little better than he is by the Irish back row IMO. Doesn't have Youngs' pace. And by that token I kind of have to go Hogg over Brown considering the foot races between the two only went one way yesterday. But it's moot as I'd have Halfpenny. Cowan is wildly overrated, does ball all as a link player or ball carrier. If being shit at everything else and racking up penalties is what makes a specialist 7 I'll leave it. Robshaw is a much, much better player.
If this "playing fullback for France" thing doesn't work out for Spedding, he at least has a bright future playing sinister East European heavies in second rate American cop shows.
