Nah I missed super chunk, I don't know them at all and m ward was....well...boring.

  2. El Nino J Torres

Yeah I've seen them live before, they're amazing. Singer walks through the crowd every time during Mr November its unreal.

Cbf searching the thread, but is anyone attending/considering attending the upcoming Soundwave and/or Vans Warped Tour events? I was considering going to one or both of them, but the lineups seem a bit underwhelming in comparison to previous years.

  4. AVA T Delonge

Yeah pretty much my thoughts as well. Will probably just hit up sideshows.

  5. TheGreemSim ER Witters

Yep, exactly the same story here. Also Mistaken For Strangers is fucking incredible live. :punk:

  6. Reagan Wheelson RDP Wheelson

Yeah, seems like the best plan, imo.

    NMH tonight. Oooh, the anticipation!

  9. Julian BJ Taylor

they'll be gun. they were awesome in Sydney.

  10. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Fucking awesome show. Julian Koster was superb with the saw and really looked as if he was enjoying himself.

Even better, the venue had a ban on people using their phones to take pictures and took it really seriously - a couple of guys got chucked out. They really are the scourge of gig-going in the modern day, so I was really pleased to see a crackdown.

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

*the band had a ban. their whole tour they've barred all filming and photography as well as those in the media. yeah koster was awesome. always wondered what happened to badger from breaking bad.

  12. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Ah, it was the band's ban. Well, it worked really well and the venue did their best at enforcing it. It shows that it is possible, because 99% of people actually did what they were told to do.

  13. Julian BJ Taylor

yeah I really enjoyed that aspect of the show as well.

I couldn't believe how bloody awesome they were musically. they were really tight compared to what I had expected.

  14. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

    Haha. Exactly.

The only time I'd say they were loose was that Holland, 1945 they started at too fast a tempo and gradually had to slow it down during the song. You could see Mangum giving some pointed looks to the other band members.

It was interesting how early in the show Holland, 1945 got played as well.

  15. Julian BJ Taylor

yeah they'd played 90% of aero plane by about the 2/3s mark in Sydney.

was the encore finale two headed boy pt 2 at your gig?

  16. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Yeah. 4 song encore, final song was Engine.

Didn't play Communist Daughter. I'm assuming the set list was the same tbh.

  17. GYR DW Lewis

Bon Jovi was unreal last night. Literally gave us the works including a double encore. The only song that he left out was In These Arms. Way better atmosphere at the Entertainment centre too.

Lleyton Hewitt and Bec were sitting a few rows in front of me and the camera panned across the front row and Luke Lewis popped up on screen.

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

I'd rather a wiggles concert tbh.

  19. GYR DW Lewis

    Hot potato hot potato

  20. Bedsey JB Dempsey

Busted out some You Give Love a Bad Name at karaoke on thursday. Went off.
