Russell Crowe seems to be quite a bit underrated. Yeah, he's a Souffs fan, seems like a bit of a cunt and fightan round the woerld and all, but he's had some excellent performances, like in LA Confidential (Guy Pearce is in it too), 3:10 to Yuma and obviously stuff he won awards for like Beautiful Mind and Gladiator.
She was the main role in Damages which was a fucking epic show tbf. Although I find her highly annoying and definitely not the best Australian actor. I'm going with my boy Hugh.
Nick Giannopoulus, his performance in 'the Wannabes' is one of the better ones turned out by an Australian.
It was a semi decent movie if taken on its merits. But as a X-Men film it was just so wrong in every way. It like saying space jam is a Star Wars movie, in that, sure there are similarities (Space), but the plot/characters have nothing to do with each other. About the only thing tha First class had right in terms of canon was the peoples names, and they even fucked that up a couple of times. An before anyone says it, I know that not everything can be strictly adhered to when making a movie adaptation, and especially in the superhero genre, where even in the comics there's different universes going on, But, By the time you fuck around with the characters so much that they're completely different characters, what's the fucking point of even doing it. They could have easily had Xavier and a bunch of new/largely forgotten mutants, rather than making Banshee an American teenager and Moira McTaggart a fucking FBI agent.
