Nah I disagree, plenty of players can throw decent cut outs they're just less effective these days because the defence is of a higher standard and I think ball players are also a lot more cautious and weary of the intercept. His first piece of play showed tremendous composure and then skill to thread the pass between a small gap, there's very few ball players in the game who can sum up situations like that on the run and then execute them.
Um, no we don't. Cherry-Evans didn't replace Smith. He played lock. I have no idea what we would've looked like with Cherry-Evans at hooker instead of Smith. And I don't want to find it if we can avoid it.
Why, because it was a spiral pass? As good as the pass was, Thurston did nothing before the pass to create the space. Boyd's space was created from Merritt being a shitcunt. Whereas in Folau's try, Locky held the ball up to drag the blue winger in. Plus the ball was released in an unorthodox fashion which confused the defence even further.
Both those passes were awesome. Did have a slight worry that the second pass was going to be intercepted though. lol
