Is this the most retarded finals series concept ever? Last years was pretty bad but at least the top two were rewarded with a double chance.
Weird. I'll see how it plays out before commenting. Have there ever been 2-leg games in the A-League?
DWTA, in the Aussie's want fianls. Crowds would drop significantly late in the season whereas with finals you get extra games that are sure to draw big crowds.
With no cup competition to speak of and an uneven home and away draw, there is definitely a place for them IMO.
The weird thing is, even though I've picked Central Coast, they do lack that classy creative player who seems to make the difference in a lot of crunch games. They've got the most solid defensive unit in the competition, but I could see them suffering to one moment of magic from Broich, Neumann, Rojas etc. I actually think they're in more danger of losing to one of those sides than Western Sydney.
They've definitely suffered alot from losing Rogic, alot more than most people though they would. Would've kept on track and easily clinched the minor premiership if they were able to keep him. I've gone with WSW, still think CCM are the 2nd best team, even if they aren't as strong in attack as they were, McBreen is in a purple patch and they're solid across the board. The other sides will need a pretty hot run of form/creative spark as you say. Call it bias but I'd back Brisbane out of the four.
Want Brisbane to win. Think WSW will win. I only got Austar with a few rounds of the comp left but WSW certainly seem impressive from the small amount of A-League action i've seen this year.
