Expanding the forum member base and increasing activity

    This, for me. For example I'm probably going to be a half decent player in soccersim by hanging around in the subforum and supporting the team. I don't want my player to be permanently shit because I don't have a thousand posts on professional soccer.

    It'd make the sims far too hard to get into for new players unless they have plenty of teams with multiple grades. The soccer and aussie rules games would become really insular.

    I don't believe so, just by the way. Remember, it's post ranks not post counts so as it is I'd say the afl/soccer posters post more regarding their respective sims, it'd just slightly reward discussion on the sport. I'm all for it for AFLsim, hopefully - as post count doesn't matter near as much as CS or even SR it seems anyway so it'd hardly decide much.

    I think keen sport supporters should get a leg up in the respective sims. i reckon rlsim should count users posts in rugby league discussion if it returnsfuck it'd be gun and popular then imo.

    RLsim would be shit if posts in the RL section counted. Those of us who like League but don't really get a chance to see the NRL would be at a massive disadvantage.

    There are a few Aussies here who watch a fair bit of SL, myself and Jazz included. Should make an effort to post more in there.

    I'm not going to take Benny's suggestion on board though. I may give it some secondary significance to make it count towards fitness or consistency or something just to vary the players up a bit but I don't really want a situation whereby people know they have to post a lot about rugby league to be decent. It was different with Seasonal Rugby because there was so little rugby union discussion on here that it just encouraged it a bit more.. there would be thousands and thousands more rugby league posts than rugby league sim posts here forevermore tbh so it'd really marginalise people who wanted to get involved but didn't follow the NRL closely.
