Disagree, there was a while there that things were getting really really slow, this foreign immigration has got this place pumping again.

Yeah now that there's a couple of Indian spammers we've gotta get posting again lest we turn into total shit.

Could this happen in the future? There was no reply at the time to why this couldn't come in. I for one think it'd be very good for the forum.

I'm with ya, but I don't think Cribb would ever buy in. Think he wants a social forum more than a sports one.

Depends on the admin and the forum. I imagine if we added league posts into RLSim it would make it impossible to make yourself good if you didn't post much about league, for example.

    Not necessarily.

I think there's definitely a case for Soccer, Basketball and AFL personally. If there's an active sim, then there should be a discussion forum for the sport to help attract new members interested in that sport/sim.

We have nearly 200k posts there - 2/3rds of other sports altogether. Take that as what you will.

I dunno if it'll work with soccer either.

I wouldn't actually be too worried about the post counts being linked. The main thing I'd like to see is separate sections for each sport

There are two main problems I see with that.

    1. It'd make the Other Sports forum a wink wink nudge nudge cricket subforum.
    2. We have way too many subforums here already.

If you think a sport is worthy of a subforum here, treat the Other Sports section like it already has one - if there are enough threads with lots of replies about a sport then I'll be forced into it.

This doesn't work because people are lazy. All the threads get lost and they just post in the one general discussion thread.

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Well, that's not my fault.

If the one general discussion thread flows without people getting the shits about about topics getting lost in there then it's not justifying a subforum, really. Imagine if we only had one rugby league thread.. *shudders*

Plan to begin my endeavour to discreetly induct someone Cribb is familiar with as 'the TF' very soon in my personal zeal to expand the forum base.

    Raven for sure.

I'm right in taking this as a confirmation that multiple threads about a specific sport won't be merged then yeah?

Not that I want to even think about football right now nevermind post about it

  17. AVA T Delonge

Yeah, that's always been the case presuming they are significantly different (ie if you get cockblocked and make a somewhat identical thread it wont be allowed).

There was a fuck up a while back where a couple of threads got merged, but that wasn't meant to happen. :p

  18. Verigoat S Verigotta

There's already been enough threads on football with the regular ones getting thousands of posts. Pretty certain the Liverpool one has already amassed more posts than most if not all of the rugy league individual team threads

Just having it in other probably makes people not want to make brand new threads in first place

How much more does we have to do

Linking posts to sims would be dire.

I don't want to read weldone's opinions on Rugby League ffs.

Weldone doesn't care enough about any sims bar Cricket anyway.
