QLDer's grow up wanting to play for QLD. NSWmen grow up wanting to play for Parramatta, or St. George, or Easts, or Canterbury. Or for their country. It's why Bennett will gladly help out the Kiwis and St. George, but will never coach for NSW. I really don't know any other way of conveying it.
Player who is pissing me off recently is probably Tonga, just doesnt seem anywhere near his best especially over the last year.
Just watching the replay again - I was reminded of something I wanted, though neglected, to mention. I was really happy to see centres taking the free kicks and charging into the line after a penalty. For as long as I can remember, Murray and Henry have been coaching a fucking idiotic 3-pass move that makes virtually no ground, puts the final receiver under enormous pressure, and risks a knock-on on 1st tackle. Anybody who advocates a move like that needs their head checked.
One thing I hate thats still in the Cowboys habits is those huge passes on their own goalline. Its one thing Ive always hated seeing the back 3 do is those 30 metre passes on their own line with defence about to smash them.
And good on them. I'm not gonna play for the Tigers on 100k if I could be making 150k at another team, even if it was parramatta.
I disagree. I think you could pay Dean Young 500k a season at any club in the comp and he'd rather play for Saints for free.
I guarantee you that if Nathan Tinkler offered Dean Young 500k to go to the Knights and the Dragons came up with a 50k offer he'd be goneskis.
Nope. No way in the world. I'd be the same. Theres no way i'd ever play for any club other then St.George regardless of money.
