    Wouldn't think he'd leave Collingwood, Unless all this behind the scenes stuff, with his recent suspension/being left out of the side has something to do with it.


    They might be able to afford him if it did happen?

    -Mattner is gone
    -Goodes 33, Bolton 33, O'Keefe 32, Could be the year one or two of them hang up the boots.
    -There are new rules this year in regards to the salary cap & paying veterans outside of it.
    -Rhyce is 32 next year, Might be his last chance to play AFL with his brother + a handy little cash grab.

    Already a bullshit rumour.

    How is fucking Lycett coming back to SA dependent on Gorringe or Polec, or any combination. The fact that it's saying one of them will either implies that the journo knows which one it is and is keeping some mystery over it or that they're all dependent on each other which is bollocks.

    I think it used to be, You could have half of one players salary out of the cap.

    If you added a second, it halved, a third, it would count as one-third.


    As of this year, you can have as many veterans on the list as you want and something like $100,000 is excluded per player. As long as that player has 10 years at your club I think.

    So anybody 28 years+

    Swans have a bit of money to play with possibly.

    Extra Salary Cap "living allowance": $900,000
    Veterans Salaray Cap Savings: $672,000

    Then factor in whatever Bolton/Goodes are on, and subtract the $100,000, and that would free up around $450,000+ each??
