    Nah, word is that we're looking to upgrade Burbury, Walker and Blicavs, and with just 5 spots on our list that gives us 2 live selections - picks 16 and 36.

    I really hope we leave Blitz on the rookie list (I think he's the only eligible of those) and get another bloke - but that's what I'm hearing, not just on Facebook but from people who usually hear this stuff first down in Geelong too.

    Yeah, agreed, but it's about what we need next season. A first year player with pick 41 probably isn't going to contribute. If they think Blitz will (I think the other two might be maxed out on rookie list years, not 100% though) contribute and will be needed then I understand.

    Well I hope so, we still have two glaring needs (key defender, inside mid) to fill.

    #41 is a bit too good of a pick, even in this draft, to only use on upgrades.

    He was on radio a few weeks back going on about how he's talking to 7-8 clubs and I haven't heard anything about him since.

    Pretty happy with this trade period at the Dees, as are the majority of our supporters. Lmfao @ Damian Barrett ripping on the Dees about how the Dom Tyson trade was a shit one, then when questioned he admitted he had never seen him play :lol: Absolute idiot.

    I generally agree with Barrett, kind of agree with him here but I do rate Tyson.

    The Vince trade still makes no sense to me though.

    I guess with Vince they wanted experienced mids, and he was one of the few on the market.

    I think they payed overs for him, but in effect it was a trade for Sylvia, and Vince would probably be more of a clubman than Sylvia <_<

    I think his real value was fairly accurately paid in the trade, but he's one of those blokes who at the moment isn't worth his actual trade value.

    Barrett has a vendetta against the Dees, don't like him because of that. But that in particular was a joke call made against the Tyson trade.

    DWTA, Geelong wants to win as often as possible, while also developing its youngsters. It mightn't work that way, but that's the aim. Pods and Chappy are both 32 anyway, blooding youth could improve the team like it did in 2011.
