I was never involved in it so I don't really know what happened to it. Why doesn't is seem to run anymore? Just a general lack of interest or Bender not having enough time?
The latter mostly, i'll get round to simming it eventually, maybe before or after HSC or some shit, but it's a fair effort since i have to type out all the play by play and commentary
Yeah, the fact Bender has HSC and the commentary is a bit of a **** to do. The stat output is great, as is the general team management (Even if we're losing heaps >_>). I just don't think a lot of people have an interest in BBallSim.
If the stats output is good, could you not just skip the commentary? It'd be a better situation than no simming for months. I'm going to be honest here - the reason I like having these other sims is to keep the place alive if there's a break in CricSim... and usually when there's a break in CricSim there's a break in everything else too which makes it kind of pointless.
The commentary is actually interesting to read, though. Most of the people who are active in the sim read the commentary.
Not if there's no actual simming though, obviously... If the stats output is good and the commentary is massively slowing things down, I think you should give it the arse.
Yeah, i was heaps thinking of scrapping the play by play, and doing it like i did that semi-live game somewhere, just post the last play of the quarter, and the scores Would take like 2 minutes to sim instead of 2 hours :ninja:
If anyone feels like checking out the program and if they can come up with a method of getting the output which i couldn't, the program is 'Jump Shot Basketball' I was having another look at it just then and couldn't really find anything in my quick search. Just posting stats may end up being the solution or something.
