mowen aside, our back row seems kind of anonymous

rebels' kicking game has been bloody awful. though mogg has been excellent thus far

edit: just as i say that...

edit2: why the devil are the rebels going for scrums?!

What a weekend op rugby. Good for the log to shake things up a bit, but bad for anyone who put money on the games. Superbru had the Canes result at a 4% predicted upset and the Rebels game at a 3% predicted upset. The Chiefs v Bulls draw was at 0,13% predictability.

    lets go blues

  8. Hurricane JD Hurricane

he can't kick it from there.

  9. Hurricane JD Hurricane

    a) hickey is too inexperienced for super rugby
    b) I regret backing the blues

if mccabe actually played like this when deans picked him we'd have done alright

  11. Hurricane JD Hurricane

They said earlier he's changed his running style to shorter and faster strides.

definitely working. don't think i've ever seen him beat the line as often as tonight.

Blues 9 and 10 are not up to snuff.

It took you this long to figure out? :p

haha - first time watching them at length.

Might as well give Marshall a go at 10. They will lose the kicking but tactically he can't be any worse.

reds go for broke and get a penalty lineout.

    Leads to a try.

McKalman should be a wallaby. Best aussie number 8 I have seen in some time.

Wallabies will be a better team this year I am starting to think.

    Back row

    6 higginbottham
    7 Hooper
    8 McKalman

That will for the first time in 5 years be as good as anything in the four nations. Provided Hooper can step it up one more level. He was a bit green last year.

    Front row
    Slipper
    alexander
    Moore

    will travel well also

2nd row will be meh but no one else has a good one.

    backs

9 Genia will be pressed for the first time by others so is not a shoo in. He looks sluggish in this game by his standards
    10 Cooper
    11 meh
12 Leafaino (sp?) will get the nod over the vastly improved McCabe who doesn't understand that you can't run over DeVilliers or conrad Smith. one day he will learn a side step.
13 Tevita Kuridrani - he just gives more options than ashley cooper.
    14 Speight
    15 Folau

Beale the utility back off the bench. Can basically play anywhere. Would be tempted to put him at left wing just to get him on the field.

These misses are going to hurt the Force. That's 6 points spurned in the second. Both very kickable shots too.

Lovely little kick and chase from Cummins there. Won a five metre scrum.

    Can't not love the kid.

That's how you throw a cut out pass. 'Mon, Force. You have this.
