FMD Kiwi commentators are so shit. Why are all our sporting commentators so inferior, legit the only sport I favour ours over Australias is basketball.
Was an emphatic performance by the Force, although the Rebels' defence was fucking shocking tbh. Brumbies vs Waratahs is the game of this week imo. Brumbies' solid defence vs Waratahs scintillating attack.
Nizaam Carr (sp?) is a beast Stormers have some potential star players in their backs. Strangely stormers defence looking a bit gappy in this game.
There is no way the highlanders are getting up to beat the canes. I have them pegged in the bottom 3 teams in the comp. Also just for the record - I wouldn't mind if the NZRFU disowned the highlanders after their prop took a dive and started holding his head and rolling around - it was a tip tackle but he landed on his shoulder and not his head. But when taking a dive is the only way you can win you do what you gotta do.
From the few games I have seen Super Rugby seems more advanced this year, more thought out plays, greater depth of players as well. Encouraging to see some of the Aussie fringe teams (Force and Rebels) put up some type of a fight this year. In past year's some have suggested the aussies should just have 4 teams. 5 teams actually seems ok this year. The exception to this is the highlanders who do not seem to have progressed since last year.
I've actually thought that the poor defense and proneness to errors has made this super 15 seem really weak. Those 2 things suit Aussie play style so much
Yeah know thats right, the good games have been "decent". The games between teams who you would rank 9-15 haven't been worth the cost of commentators
After losing to the Force, I agree. Brumbies really surprised me to get up over the Tahs. Sharks still setting the pace, booya! Lions proving that they are not merely around to be whipped, great showing.
