Update: 20 mins AD Hunt is the first guy in Seasonal Rugby history to be captain and kicker of the same team, and he put a high one up. Retzel and Manera have lifted Gee, who has taken it cleanly. The maul is formed and the Vikings have pushed the Chiefs back quite a way. Perry takes it out the back and hands it to Hunt. He cuts across and put a pass back inside to Vago...VAGO HAS BROKEN THROUGH THE LINE AND ONLY HAS MJ JOHNS TO BEAT. HE HAS STEPPED HIM! PURE GENIUS FROM VAGO! Hunt gets the conversion under the posts and the score is now 7-0 to the Vikings. DRP Taylor strides back quickly to the half way line and rushes the kick off. It goes straight to Vago. He gets taken down and MJA Johns and P Retzel have rucked over brilliantly there. Perry puts a box kick over and S Cambridge is chasing. Cambridge has put MJ Johns under alot of pressure there, but the ball has rolled into touch. The Chiefs have a lineout just inside their own 22. Shriram makes a nice throw, and Denton takes it in the middle. He taps it down to Jennings who passes to Pilgrim. Nice kick from Pilgrim, but it hasn’t gone very far. Lineout about 8 metres out from the half way line in the Chiefs half. Retzel makes a nice throw to the back and Rocker claims it. Perry receives it and makes a hasty kick towards the corner. Lovely stab through from Perry there. The ball has rolled into touch.
Hunt with a brilliant pass to Vago to see the star center to score first points. Hunter has stood up with the captaincy role. Kicked the goal as well. Great start and I can smell the finals.
Update: 40 mins Shriram struggles to make a good throw and the ball is turned over by Gee. ARMSTRONG HAS GOT THE BALL AND RUN AROUND THE OPENSIDE OF THE RUCK THERE. TRY VIKINGS! Hunt cannot quite get the kick, and the score is 12-0 to the Vikings. The Chiefs kick off again with Taylor reversing it and giving it to Darts. He makes a good gain before being taken down by Bots. Humble almost gets a turnover for the Chiefs but good rucking from Lewis prevents it. Perry ships it out on the open and Hunt has a go. He gets taken down by Pilgrim. The Vikings ruck over again and Perry makes a pick and go, gaining some ground. Erschoff does some excellent driving, and also makes some ground. Perry passes to Hunt who smashes the ball down into the Chiefs half. Excellent kick again from Hunt. Shiram makes the throw and Denton only just makes it to the wobbly throw. He taps it back to Jennings who throws it to Pilgrim. He is under all sorts of pressure and gets a very bad kick away. The ref calls last play and the Vikings have a lineout inside the Chiefs 22. Hunt is standing right back in the pocket. Gee wins the lineout and taps it back to Perry. Hunt receives the ball and makes a lovely drop goal! The score is now 15-0 to the Vikings at half time.
DAVO. Both flankers are on the board now for the season. We have found some nice form and a very hand kick at the stoke of half time will be a devastating blow for the Chiefs.
Update: 60 mins DRP Taylor makes the kick to start off the second half and it is a nice one, right into the Vikings pack. Ershoff takes it and lays a solid platform for his backs. The Vikings run a well rehearsed backs move with Vago coming on at pace. VAGO WAS THE DUMMY RUNNER AND DARTS HAS THE BALL NOW. HE HAS BROKEN THE LINE AND IT IS 2 ON 1 FOR THE VIKINGS. DARTS OFFLOADS TO JAMES AND IT IS A TRY FOR JAMES UNDER THE POSTS! Hunt makes the kick and the score is now 22-0 to the Vikings! This is turning into a thrashing. The Chiefs don’t look happy now. They wander back to the Half Way line with their heads down. And the Vikings are pushing for a bonus point. Taylor puts the highest kick up he can, and has given his forwards a real chance with that one. And Denton has managed to reclaim it for the Chiefs after one bounce. Brilliant stuff from him. Taylor is in the line now and received the ball from Pilgrim. Herd has the ball and dodges the first man. He makes about 20 very good metres for the Chiefs but has not much support. The Chiefs just get there, and that is solid rucking from Dover. Jennings goes for a pick and go by himself and can’t make any ground past Manera. The ball is given to Shriram on the pick and go, but he can’t hold on to it, and it is a scrum down to the Vikings.

Update: 80 mins The inexperienced KJ Rhino is now on for the former NSW selector MJ Johns. Interesting desicion in such a big match. Perry puts the ball and Rocker hold the ball at the back before wasting alot of time and finally picking and going. Perry is there is support and also makes a pick and go before releasing it to AD Hunt. He smashes a territory kick just outside the Chiefs 22. WD Robinson has come on for DK Ershoff now and amazingly S Humble is coming off! BS Read is coming on for him. In my opinion, both these guys should have had full matches. Shriram makes an ok throw which Torres claims with perfection. He forms the mau, but the Chiefs cannot gain any ground and so the ball is given to Pilgrim to clear the danger. That is the best kick of the day so far from Pilgrim. Nice power and lovely accuracy. Double sub time for the Vikings. A Kolar is on for MJA Johns and B Man is on for S Cambridge. Good tactical time wasting from the Vikings there as the last play draws nearer. Retzel also takes his time to make the throw and eventually gets it away to Rocker at the back. Perry gets there are flips the pass away quickly. Hunt gets the ball and dummies to Vago. He passes to Darts who ships it out to B Man. Decent gain from Man, but he still got taken down eventually. The ref calls last play and Perry simply runs the ball out of play. The final score is 22-0 and the Man of the Match Award for today’s game goes to AD Hunt. He kicked well and ran some brilliant plays in the Vikings' backline.
