yeah went to a union school in brisbane they were always called second row, on all union tv coverage they are 2nd row and i am fairly sure it is only the kiwis who dont call them second row

  2. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Denton is a kiwi living in Victoria? Is that even legal?

  3. nz0003 JR Denton

    Who's Victorian?

  4. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I've never heard anybody apart from you call it lock. Stupid.

    This.

  5. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

might be slightly more valid if it werent the case that everywhere in australia private school boys play union

  6. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Yeah, my school was a union school. Kinda sucked.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_union_positions

Proves Aussies know **** all about Union.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Proves a rock ape wrote that page.

  9. nz0003 JR Denton

    Orly?

Seems all us ****s call them locks.

  10. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

lies, in every other language other then english and affikans they are called second row, shows we are in the majority

  11. nz0003 JR Denton

England made rugby, so \_/ about other languages.

  12. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    You = kiwis

  13. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

i just think its hilarious that your thread to prove your point, metioned how in australia they are often just refered to as second rowers and then also in every other language it says they are second rowers, thought that was humerous

  14. nz0003 JR Denton

I call them Second Row on the odd occasion, but you seem to believe they're not called Lock fullstop when it is actually their proper name. Call them whatever you want, doesn't really matter we still get the idea.

  15. nz0003 JR Denton

    You mean my link?

It says the proper name is lock, which is basically what I've been saying the whole time.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Hmmm.

  17. CCG C Golding

Lock is the proper name IMO, Second Row is just a modernised term. It's like them wanting to change "Prop" To "Tighthead" and "Loosehead" to make it more technical and "Hooker" to "No.2".

  18. nz0003 JR Denton

Flankers ay? I swear you were saying they were called Second Row.

  19. nz0003 JR Denton

Never heard anyone call Hooker "No.2". That would be a new low, although I do live in Australia.

  20. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

who really cares, poor boob was confused, and it pays, when dealing with alot of aussies to go with 2nd row IMO weather thats the original technical term or not
